At Cape Animal Medical Centre, we are fortunate to have different specialists and veterinarians with special interests that offer numerous services
Acuvet Clinic
The Acuvet Clinic offers alternative therapies to treat your pet.
Dr Barry Hindmarch specialises in holistic therapies that include; Acupuncture, Homoeopathy and Herbal Medicine. If you feel you may have exhausted all options with your pet, why not contact the clinic and see if Dr Hindmarch can help you?
All Hours Clinic
Providing full general and emergency treatment and surgical services at any hour, whenever you pet needs it!
Day Clinic - Our Day Clinic veterinary staff are available to manage any emergency at any time and provide all general clinical and surgical services. They also offer all the routine treatment your pet may require: For example vaccinations, sterilisations, tick and flea treatment, deworming, microchipping etc. Our primary focus is preventative health where we believe that " prevention is better than cure!"
We also offer puppy and kitten starter packs for your new family member as well as providing you with all the information a new puppy or kitten owner may need to know. We will also be hosting puppy classes in the near future, so watch this space!
Other services that we are proud to offer are our free nurses clinics that amongst others include Doggy Weight Watchers, so if you pet is looking a bit chubbier than normal, please give us a call!
After Hours Clinic - Our after hours staff provide an invaluable service to pet owners once other vet clinics have closed. We have a vet and a vet nurse that care for our hospitalised patients in the high care unit, ensuring the comfort and veterinary attention your pet may need. They are also equipped to deal with any emergencies. We have oxygen facilities and emergency drugs that will enable our staff to provide your pet with the best medical care. As part of our dedication to ensure the best care your pet can receive, all our cages have under floor heating to ensure your pets stay cosy during the colder nights.
Dentisty
Dr Cedric Tutt is a specialised veterinary dentist and oro-facial surgeon who has many years experience with a large number of species of animals.

Medicine
Dr Malan Van Zyl and Dr Tanya Schoeman are Veterinary Specialist Physicians who specialise in the advanced diagnosis and treatment of illness and cancer in dogs and cats. They welcome referrals from your veterinarian when specialist services are required or a problem has not responded adequately to treatment. They specialise in all medical problems including diseases of the heart, intestine, liver, kidneys, nervous system, airways, etc.
The medicine clinic is equipped with specialised diagnostic equipment including high detail ultrasound, xray and a variety of flexible and rigid fibreoptic instruments for endoscopic evaluation of the stomach, nasal cavity, airways, bladder, or ears of cats and dogs of any size.
Ophthalmology
Dr Kim Tutt is a veterinarian who has a special interest in Ophthalmology. If you have any queries regarding your pet's sight or any problems with it's eyes, Dr Kim Tutt will be very happy to help you.
